Three women have pleaded guilty to violent disorder during a riot outside a hotel
Several racist thugs have been charged with participating in riots, and law enforcement has pledged to ensure that all those involved will face appropriate legal consequences.
Among those charged, three women have admitted to their involvement in violent disorder in Manchester. Nevey Smith, 21, from Failsworth, pleaded guilty after being accused of throwing liquid at police officers during a riot outside a hotel on July 31. Prosecutor Tess Kenyon noted that Smith was seen throwing liquid from a bottle toward the police who were protecting the hotel.
Michelle Jibson, 45, and Tracy Pearson, 53, also pleaded guilty to violent disorder. Both women were described as provocateurs outside the hotel, with Jibson allegedly striking a police officer during a confrontation while wearing an England flag. Pearson was reported to have verbally provoked the police with inflammatory remarks. Smith was granted bail, Jibson and Pearson were remanded in custody. All three are set to be sentenced on August 19.
