Two arrested on suspicion of murder as man dies after balcony fall

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his fifties fell from a balcony.
Authorities responded to an incident at Black Friar Court in Salford around 8:40 PM on Sunday after receiving reports of a man falling from a fourth-floor balcony. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 57-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
In connection with the incident, police have taken a 37-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman into custody on suspicion of murder. Both individuals are currently being questioned, and law enforcement has maintained a presence at the scene as investigations continue.
Detective Inspector David Ogden from the Salford district has urged community members to assist with the investigation by coming forward with any information they may have. He acknowledged the community's concerns regarding this unfortunate event and emphasized the importance of sharing details, no matter how minor they may seem.
